New Certificate in General Management for Young Leaders through upGrad, developed with IIM Bangalore, does something most management programs are still figuring out: it treats artificial intelligence as a practical management skill woven across every course, not a standalone module added to an existing syllabus.

The program's 20 live industry expert sessions are built around how AI is already changing the way managers work. Learners explore AI copilots for data analysis, budget simulation tools, AI-led demand forecasting in quick commerce, and retention personalisation strategies used by Indian brands. A dedicated session addresses what happens when AI tools produce inaccurate outputs and how non-technical managers should set boundaries around AI-generated decisions.

This AI integration sits inside a full general management curriculum taught by IIM Bangalore faculty. The 10 courses cover finance, strategy, operations, organisational design, digital products, communication, and customer strategy. Two campus immersions at IIMB and 20 industry expert sessions bring depth and real-world grounding to what could otherwise remain theoretical.

The program is available on upgrad.com, runs for 11 months starting September 30, 2026, and is open to graduates across disciplines with one to five years of work experience. Participants graduate with an IIMBx Certificate and Affiliate Alumni Status from IIM Bangalore.
